Advice to apply for Professional Engineers-International (Main
Points) of The Institution of International Professional Engineers
Society of Professional Engineers (UK) established in 1969 as a
part of Society of Engineers (UK) (1854) can register and issue Professional
Engineers (UK) recognized by British Government and is also recognized in other
Commonwealth Countries.
But in 2018 April, when Society of Professional Engineers UK
merged with The Institution of Engineering and Technology without seeking the
votes of its international members, the SPEUK International Members establish
new Society of Professional Engineers UK and International to maintain their
designation PE(UK) in the new form of PE(UK and
International) and all PE(UK) certificates hold by all SPEUK members are still
valid but we will issue the new form of PE(UK and International) Certificate by
electronic mode only.
There should be noted that Society of Professional Engineers UK
and International will not follow the constitution of Society of Professional
Engineers UK, it is not another form of Society of Professional Engineers UK and it does not declare that the new membership which we
will issue after formation of Society of Professional Engineers UK and
International
is associated with former Society of Professional Engineers UK but
the members whom were admitted by former Society of
Professional Engineers UK are still LIFE MEMBERS of the new Society of
Professional Engineers UK and International and as our task is to maintain our
dignity, no membership fees is payable by such members.
In February, 2019,
The Society of Professional Engineers (UK and International) was renamed as The
Society of Professional Engineers (International) and updated toThe Institution of
International Professional Engineers (IIPE).
Membership of Society of Professional Engineers (International)
and Professional Engineer (International) can be applied for by having
undergone the assessment by its recognized associations which will be advised
when we receive your application.
The following is the way to achieve the Member of Society of
Professional Engineers (International)(MSPE(International) and Professional
Engineer (International) (PEng(International)).
The application process consists of Proposer and Seconder’s signs
and two Members of Society of Professional Engineers (International) and
Professional Engineer ( International)
in membership committee can sign the application form . Such nomination will be
done by our administration office when we receive your application form and
relevant documents.

Direct Examinations of other Institutions, Societies & Associations
as accredited by the appropriate State Body, (recognised and accepted by the
Society of Professional Engineers)=10

Academic Qualifications (Clause 2 of Application Form)
STC Technological University Qualifications will
be automatically accepted for Membership and Professional Engineer Registration
(1) BE/BTech/BAC(Engg),
ME. MSc(Engg) Engineering Diploma/
Certificate / City & Guild and other Overseas Diplomas (Scan copies)
Please note- The following degrees are recognized by Society of
Professional Engineers-UK and International you can submit one of the following

Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Fiji as well as FEIAP and ASEAN Professional
Engineer Certificate or ASEAN Engineer Certificate
· Professional Diploma or degree awarded by one of our affiliated
educational colleges.
For any other qualifications, they need to be converted to
Professional Diploma in Engineering awarded by our affiliated colleges.
Training and Experience (Clause 3 of Application Form)

(2) Attach Curriculum Vitae
Each full year of structured, supervised training 1 point
For each full year, subject to a minimum of 3 years of employment
or independent business in a professional engineering capacity 1.5 points
(3) Detailed Engineering Design and Projects that you have done.
Design Calculations, Drawings, Materials
, Project Plan, Project steps, Safety Aspects, photos needed
to be prepared in PDF 4 points to 8 points

Points
Experience + Training (Minimum 5 Points)
Total = 15 Points Minimum will be required to apply for
Professional Engineers (International), Associate Membership and Associate
Engineer (ASPE(International), AEng(
International) or TEng (International)
) can be issued to the applicants who do not achieve the required minimum
points. Graduate Technical Engineer (Grad TEng(International)for Graduates who complete Diploma and
BTech Courses and Graduate Professional Engineer (Grad PEng(International))Grades for
Graduates who complete BE courses.
(4) Fill Society of Professional Engineers Membership/ Application
for Professional Engineers Registration Form
(5) Please send the documents in step 1 to 4 to
thespeukinternational@gmail.com
(6) We will assess your design by ourselves or refer your design
to our authorized assessor and advise you how to pay the assessment fees to
such assessor.
(7) In some cases, we will eliminate such fees at our discretion.
When you have paid the fees, you need to forward the evidence to
thespeukinternational@gmail.com and upon receipt, we will send your design
(Step 3) to the assessor.
(8) When we get back the assessment result, we will advise you of
outcome and our officers sign as Proposer on the Society of Professional
Engineers Membership/ Application for Professional Engineers Registration Form
Then send this form together with your documents to Membership
Committee to the branches or central administration to the
following e mail address

(9) When the membership committee approves your application, we
will issue you Professional Engineers (International)Certificate
electronically. You need to print out in colour on A4 white paper and laminate
it. We will maintain the Register of our Professional Engineers (International)
and will answer any enquiry regarding verification.
Apart from fees payment to assessor if required, no fees is payable to issue the
Certificate electronically.
Annual fees may be charged or may not be charged to new members at
the discretion of the membership committee. In this case, all members whom were admitted without charging the membership fees will
not be charged membership fees but in the case of the fees system is changed,
the new members effected by such change will need to pay the fees.
It is to be advisable that the applicants will need to carefully
read the above facts and only submit the application if they agree to them.
(10) All former SPEUK members will just need to send your
membership numbers to us for our new register. Their MSPE.FSPE.SPE(UK)
Certificates are valid and no new certificate will be issued unless loss
of certificate but
the new certificate will be in the format of SPE(International) Not SPE(UK) and
it can only be issued by electronic mode. Your SPE-UK Membership number is also
SPE International of The Institution of
International Professional Engineers Membership Number.
